ABOUT TSUDOU
I grew up in a suburb of Tokyo in a household of artisans. My great grandmother taught flower arrangement, Ikebana, in the tatami room. At the kitchen table, my grandmother worked with Kamakura bori, a local and traditional lacquerware and wood-carving method, next to my grandfather, who made complicated origami paper. boxes. Sitting at my side on the futon, my mother sewed my summer kimono
I started my career as a photographer before becoming a producer for international commercial shoots. I have experience working closely with brands as well within ad agencies. I particularly enjoy working in a diverse environment with people from different departments, and from different language and cultural backgrounds.
Though the UK has been my home for over a decade, I have found that I cherish my background and the traditions of my country more and more. Tsudou brings together my knowledge and love of Japanese craft and design and my international experience in branding and production. It is a way for me to start giving back to my country and family.
